นายสุกฤตย์ สุรบถโสภณ ประธานกลุ่มอุตสาหกรรมโรงกลั่นน้ำมันปิโตรเลียม สภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) เปิดเผยว่า ทิศทางและแนวโน้มสถานการณ์น้ำมันของโลกในปี 59 ว่า จะยังคงผันผวนและมีแนวโน้มปรับตัวเพิ่มขึ้นเล็กน้อยเมื่อเทียบปี 58 โดยราคาน้ำมันดิบดูไบอยู่ในระดับ 53-56 เหรียญสหรัฐต่อบาร์เรล (ประมาณการราคาเฉลี่ยปี 58 อยู่ที่ 53 เหรียญสหรัฐฯ ต่อบาร์เรล)

In addition, the company recorded foreign exchange gain on USD loan of Baht 353 million owing to the Thai Baht appreciation against the foreign exchange loss of Baht 500 million in the previous period. There was an unrealized gain from oil hedging of Baht 359 million compared to an unrealized loss from oil hedging of Baht 993 million last quarter.

ทั้งนี้ รัฐบาลอยู่ระหว่างเตรียมเปิดรับซื้อไฟฟ้าจากโครงการผลิตไฟฟ้าจากพลังงานแสงอาทิตย์แบบติดตั้งบนพื้นดิน สำหรับหน่วยงานราชการและสหกรณ์ภาคการเกษตร พ.ศ.2558 จำนวนรวม 800 เมกะวัตต์ เพื่อจ่ายไฟฟ้าเข้าระบบภายในวันที่ 30 มิ.ย.59 โดยมีปริมาณรับซื้อที่กำลังการผลิตติดตั้งไม่เกิน 5 เมกะวัตต์ ต่อ 1 โครงการ สัญญา 25 ปี ที่ราคารับซื้อไฟฟ้า(FiT) 5.66 บาท/หน่วย
